Sheffield Dog Training, founded in 2015, offers a variety of training classes to suit all ages and abilities. Our goal is to help build lasting relationships between you and your dog in a safe classroom environment. We encourage owners to use effective positive reinforcement and free-choice training methods. We have various classroom locations across Sheffield.

Joanne is one of our freelance instructors and is currently studying with The School of Canine Science.
Previously she has studied with the International Animal Behaviour Training College. She started her journey at Sheffield Dog Training with her first Dog, Daisy a Bull Terrier and soon progressed on to a Classroom Assistant.
Joanne has been a dog trainer for over 10 years and owns Canine To 5, a dog walking business on the south side of Sheffield as well as being one of the SDT instructors.
Jane started Sheffield Dog Training to empower dog owners to acquire the skills they need to feel confident with their dogs.
She is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and a Kennel Club Assessor. Jane has been a dog trainer for over 15 years and her enthusiasm for dogs, their welfare and development is embedded in the spirit of Sheffield Dog Training.
Jane works with a highly experienced and qualified team who provide invaluable support and knowledge in each class.
Becky is one of our experienced instructors. She graduated from The University of Hull in 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Animal Behaviour and Training.
She has experience in the specialised training of assistance dogs and can also offer help to customers on a 1-2-1 basis for more complex behavioural issues. She enjoys attending seminars to ensure she remains up to date with current training practices.
At home, Becky is very much owned by a rescue Lurcher who is blind - he has taught her an incredible amount over their six years together.
